53rd Koganei Peace Bon Odori

About this event

This is a Bon Odori festival that has continued since 1970 (Showa 45), organized by volunteers wishing for world peace. While Bon Odori festivals have been disappearing from Koganei City and various other areas, this remains a precious festival where a wide range of age groups, from children to the elderly, can still enjoy together. At the venue, there will be numerous stalls selling gourmet food such as yakisoba and frankfurters, as well as fun games like ring toss and shooting galleries. When the sun sets, the Bon Odori begins in earnest, and dancing along to the resonance of live taiko drums is sure to lift your spirits.
