About this event
Held as the eve of the 50th Komae Citizens Festival, "Komae Folk Performing Arts Matsuribayashi" will take place in the Hokomichi area at the North Exit of Komae Station. This event aims to foster community exchange and enhance the city's appeal through the presentation of local performing arts. A variety of programs rooted in the Tama River basin—such as lion dances, Japanese taiko drums, and festival music (ohayashi)—will be performed, allowing visitors to enjoy powerful stage presentations. Additionally, at the station plaza adjacent to the venue, special local products from various municipalities will be sold, offering an opportunity to savor regional delicacies. The fusion of rich local performances and the product fair will elevate the festival atmosphere.
