Reading on a Starry Night

About this event

Held at the Kiraboshi Ginga Planetarium in the Sagamihara City Museum, "Reading on a Starry Night" is a planetarium event where Bungakuza actress Junko Miura reads two stories: "Hito ni Tou" by So Kuramoto and "Night on the Galactic Railroad" author Kenji Miyazawa's "The Nighthawk Star" (Yodaka no Hoshi). Junko Miura, who studied under So Kuramoto at Furano Juku, delivers thoughts on nature and questions to modern society in the special space of a planetarium through these two stories looking at the universe and nature. This event will be an opportunity to rethink the beauty of nature and the preciousness of life. The capacity is 180 people, and advance registration is required (on a first-come, first-served basis). Admission is 1,000 yen for adults, 400 yen for children, and 500 yen for seniors aged 65 and over, but free for elementary/junior high school students and preschoolers living in or attending school in Sagamihara City.
