The 22nd Uiro Uri Delivery (Kojo) Festival

About this event

The 22nd Uirouri Kojo Festival, presenting an original stage performance based on Uirouri from the Kabuki Juhachiban, will be held in the Main Hall of Odawara Sannomaru Hall. On the day, a diverse program will be showcased, including Uirouri no Kojo, Hasuike Benzaiten that Existed in Odawara, Shintachota no Suttobi! Kago Dochu, Yoko Aratani Tokaido Concert, and Uiro Taiko. Guests include Yoko Aratani (Princess Utako), a special performance by the Odawara Chochin Dance Preservation Society, and appearances by the Uirouri no Kojo Research Group, Uiro Taiko, and others. Furthermore, Yoshin (calligrapher), Takuya Okawa (shinobue flute), Yoshie Suzuki (Kawasaki Shukuba), and people along the Tokaido will collaborate. Special attendees include Kaiho Hamatake (former chief priest of Renjowin), Mr. Komatsu (Hasuike Benzaiten stonemason), Kazuyoshi Iino (picture book author), and Hideko Nagano (picture book author). Shinichiro Midori (Theater Produce Rasen Kaidan) serves as stage director. This festival offers a valuable opportunity to experience the history and culture of Odawara.
