About this event
This is a special exhibition commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Shoko Fujita, a haiku poet from Odawara City. Mr. Fujita began writing haiku at age 16, joined "Ashibi" presided over by Shuoshi Mizuhara, and later served as a coterie member and editor-in-chief. He subsequently founded "Taka" to nurture subsequent generations and became its leader. Honoring the achievements of Mr. Fujita, who constantly pursued new challenges—including continuing his "10 Haiku a Day" practice for three years in his later years—the exhibition will display handwritten materials and cherished personal items. This is a valuable opportunity to experience the world of a haiku poet who composed beautiful rhythms of 5-7-5 syllables.
