About this event
At "Kochia Village" established in Hoshigayama Park in Yugawara Town, kochia (summer cypress) is cultivated as a verification trial, becoming a new scenic spot for autumn color. Free temporary shuttle buses will operate for viewing the kochia as it begins to change color. Direct buses connecting Yugawara Station and Kochia Village will run on weekends: Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13; Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, September 20; Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27; and Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4. Across an area of approximately 1,000 square meters in Hoshigayama Park, lush green kochia plants stand in rows, turning vibrant red from mid-September onward for visitors to enjoy. The park also offers spectacular ocean views, which can be enjoyed alongside the transition of the kochia from green to red. Free parking for approximately 60 vehicles is available.
