About this event
The "R8 Yunagi Festival" (School Cultural Festival), held at Kanagawa Prefectural Zushi Hayama High School, is a cultural festival where students collaborate to create new things and memories under the student-designed theme "Creation (So)." The name "Yunagi Festival" was named after the new school uniform inspired by the evening calm and sunset of Zushi Beach. The second day, Saturday, September 19, is open to the public, with various groups preparing elaborately planned programs. It is an excellent opportunity to widely share the students' efforts and achievements and deepen interactions. Conventional paper vouchers have been discontinued in favor of electronic payments (credit cards, transit IC cards, 2D QR codes); however, sales such as Shurei-yaki by the former Zushi High School Alumni Association "Shureikai" and onigiri rice balls by the PTA are cash-only. As the finale of the cultural festival, a fireworks display is planned and will be carried out with careful attention to safety. During the fireworks launch, entry to the school premises will be restricted for the general public. Outdoor footwear is permitted inside the school buildings, but some areas such as the gymnasium prohibit outdoor footwear, requiring changing into provided slippers. Please refrain from visiting in footwear that may damage the flooring, such as stiletto heels.
