Sandy Beach Lantern Festival

About this event

This is an event where residents and visitors of Miura City can spend a special moment surrounded by music and light. Participants write their "wishes" and "thoughts" on paper and line them up on the sandy beach along with LED lanterns. It creates a space that brings joy and comfort to daily life and allows people to feel connected with one another. Numerous lights spreading across Miura Beach gently illuminate the future and hope of the community. At the event, an LED lantern making workshop that even children can easily make will be held, with 300 units available for 300 yen each. Because LED lanterns are used, it is safe to enjoy. Create a one-of-a-kind lantern with your family, partner, or friends. Afterwards, a lighting ceremony will be held where all participants light their lanterns all at once, allowing everyone to enjoy the magical sight spreading across the sandy beach. In the grand finale, guests can spend an unforgettable moment with loved ones enveloped in lantern lights and music played by a DJ. The lights of wishes will color the night of Miura.
