Celebrating its 29th anniversary since formation, the amateur community band ZAMA Big Band Jazz Orchestra will hold its 27th Regular Concert on October 25, 2026, at the Yamato City Cultural Creation Center Sirius. In this concert, performances across a wide range of genres will be presented, from classic big band masterpieces by artists like Glenn Miller and Count Basie to enjoyable tunes like samba that naturally get your body moving. Featuring female vocal performances as well, the stage is designed to be enjoyed by everyone from longtime jazz enthusiasts to younger generations. The venue is the Main Hall of the Arts and Cultural Hall on the 1st floor of Yamato City Cultural Creation Center Sirius, located at 1-8-1 Yamatominami, Yamato City, Kanagawa Prefecture; doors open at 13:00, and the performance begins at 13:30. The performance duration is approximately 2 hours, and ticket prices are 1,500 yen (tax included) for all reserved seats. Tickets are currently on sale via Confetti. The ZAMA Big Band Jazz Orchestra was formed in 1997 by jazz lovers living and working in Zama City, operating under the motto of community contribution. In recent years, retired members of the United States Army Japan Band have also joined, infusing the authentic spirit of jazz into the group.
