About this event
September is Dementia Awareness Month and World Alzheimer's Month. Aiming to build a town where people can live with peace of mind even with dementia, Isehara City will host the '4th Isehara Orange Festa' as an opportunity for citizens to learn and deepen their understanding of dementia. In this event, courses allowing participants to experience the perspective of people with dementia through VR and Dementia Supporter Training Courses to learn basic knowledge about dementia will be conducted. In addition, a screening of the moving film 'A Long Goodbye' will be held, depicting the bond between a father diagnosed with dementia and his daughters. Furthermore, one-on-one smartphone lessons by students from Sanno Institute of Management, forgetfulness consultations by Certified Nurses in Dementia Nursing, and consultation sessions by caregivers and family groups will be held, providing programs to learn about dementia from multifaceted perspectives. At the venue, introductions to Isehara City's dementia initiatives and dementia cafes, as well as the distribution of related materials, will also take place. Why not take this opportunity to learn about dementia and think about a local community where we live together?
