About this event
The '43rd Shakyo Welfare Festival' will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026 (Reiwa 8). This year's theme is 'Welfare x Infinity: Connected Feelings, Expanding Future.' It aims to be a hands-on event where citizens can feel welfare closer to them through 'learning, experiencing, and enjoying.' Programs being recruited include welfare experiences, children's activities, activity introductions and exhibitions, stage presentations, and sales of self-made products/goods (by persons with disabilities), providing an opportunity to share the welfare activities of local community members with many citizens. Last year, many organizations participated, and a wide range of generations from children to the elderly attended. This year as well, a smile-filled welfare festival will be held together with local residents.
