Commemorating the 70th anniversary of its municipal organization, Hakone Town will host the 'Hakone Town 70th Anniversary 2026 Health and Welfare Festival'. This event aims to raise residents' awareness of health and welfare and support daily health promotion. The venue offers various health checkups and experiences, including 'Knee Improvement Stretches' by the Yokohama DeNA BayStars, 'Young Generation Cancer Screenings' for women aged 20 to 39, bone density checks, and brain age measurements. In addition, there will be activities such as writing messages about favorite aspects of Hakone Town and numerous exhibition booths from health and welfare organizations, with chances to receive souvenirs by touring the booths. In the afternoon session, an awards ceremony by the Hakone Town Council of Social Welfare, an online seminar on yogurt, and the 'Lively HAKONE Gymnastics' will be held. Shuttle buses will operate on Yumoto, Hakone, and Sengokuhara routes for convenient access, but advance reservations are required. Reservation acceptance begins on Monday, September 14. This is an event where families and friends can learn together and enjoy a healthy day.
