About this event
Characterized by graceful dancing and the resounding beats of barrels, about 1,000 people participate annually in Kameda Jinku. The lyrics capture the rich pastoral scenery and weaving traditions of Kameda. This event is held as part of the 'Kameda Festival', a major summer event held in Konan Ward, Niigata City. It will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 19:30 to 21:00, and participation in casual clothes or small groups is also welcome. Participating groups will be provided with uchiwa fans and mame-shibori patterned towels, and CD/DVD rentals of Kameda Jinku are also available. The application deadline is July 16, 2026.
