About this event
A brave festival where young people clash lanterns decorated in the shape of rocks against each other to the tune of Kameda Kiyari chants. The spectacle of clashing strength and spirit excites all spectators. Participation by women is also welcome, and since happi coats are available for rental, ease of participation is another appealing point. As a summer tradition of Kameda, it has become a deeply rooted traditional event in the local community.
