Shitada Hometown Festival: Uryu Giant Serpent Festival

Held along the clear stream of the Ikarashi River in Sanjo City, Niigata Prefecture, the 'Shitada Furusato Festival: Uryu no Orochi Matsuri' is a community festival that people of all ages, from children to seniors, can enjoy. At the special event grounds, a wide variety of attractions will be held to entertain visitors, including festival stalls, bare-handed rainbow trout catching, and kite flying. Crowning the finale of the festival is a grand fireworks display illuminating the night sky, with approximately 100 fireworks launched. This festival offers an opportunity to connect with local nature while fully enjoying fireworks lighting up the summer night sky.
