On Saturday, November 7, 2026, the "World Nishikigoi Summit 2026 Diplomatic Corps Regional Inspection Tour" will be held at Nishikigoi no Sato in Ojiya City, Niigata Prefecture. This tour provides an opportunity for the diplomatic corps stationed in Japan to experience the culture and industry of Nishikigoi (koi carp) in Ojiya City, the birthplace of Nishikigoi. On the day of the tour, a welcome ceremony and a Nishikigoi release ceremony are scheduled to take place at Nishikigoi no Sato. This event aims to deepen international exchange through Nishikigoi and promote the development of the Nishikigoi industry and the spread of its culture. As access to certain areas will be restricted on the day, admission will be free. The general public will not be permitted to enter the document exhibition room and observation hall from around 12:00 PM to around 4:00 PM. In addition, morning preparations may cause some inconvenience to visitors. The sale of koi feed and related services will be suspended for the day.
