11th Minamiuonuma Gourmet Ride

The Minamiuonuma Gourmet Ride is a cycling event held during the rice harvest season in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, one of Japan's leading rice-producing regions. Participants can ride while enjoying the beautiful scenery of golden shimmering rice ears, the sacred Mt. Hakkai, the Sagurigawa Dam, and Bokushi Street. Delicious gourmet food made with local ingredients will be prepared at each aid station, allowing participants to feel fully satisfied. This event is part of a series of cycling events held in Minamiuonuma City for three consecutive days, together with the JBCF Minamiuonuma Road Race (September 19) and JBCF Minamiuonuma Criterium (September 20). Participants can watch the corporate league races, enjoy gourmet food and hot springs in Minamiuonuma City, and then take on their own gourmet ride. In accordance with the penalization of bicycle traffic rules taking effect in April 2026, participants are required to strictly observe traffic rules. In particular, photographing or using smartphones while riding, parallel riding, and riding while wearing earphones will be subject to police enforcement and require caution. To ensure the continuous holding of the event, participants are called upon to cooperate for a fun and smart event experience. The capacity is 800 participants for the 100 km course and 400 participants for the 65 km course, with entry fees of 10,000 yen and 7,500 yen, respectively. Priority pass is 5,000 yen, and parking fee is 500 yen per vehicle. The application period is from March 6, 2026 at 17:00 to August 23, 2026 at 23:59.
