NST Mount Yahiko Festival 2026

About this event

Held on Mount Yahiko, the spiritual home of Niigata residents, this is a community climbing event where participants can fully enjoy autumn nature. Participants head for the summit of Mount Yahiko (elevation 634 meters), enjoying beautiful autumn scenery along the way. At the summit, a delicious lunch (rice balls and tonjiru pork miso soup) for all participants and a grand raffle with wonderful prizes await. Original towels and bottled mineral water will be distributed at registration, and showing the commemorative participation emblem grants discounted use of the ropeway and Panorama Tower. Participants should bring their health insurance card (copy accepted) and rain gear, gather at Yahall, and start the climb. Children of elementary school age and younger must be accompanied by a guardian. This event aims to promote health and foster community interaction through interaction with nature.
