The 'Tateyama Dondon Festival,' held in Tateyama Town, Toyama Prefecture, is a traditional festival celebrating its 18th edition in 2026. This year features unique activities such as a parkour challenge and custom wheelchair test rides. Numerous gourmet food booths will also be set up to delight visitors. The highlight of the festival is a fireworks display coloring the night sky, scheduled to start at 19:00. The venue is Tateyama Town Comprehensive Park, and traffic regulations will be implemented on surrounding roads on the day. For access, taking the free shuttle buses departing from Tateyama Town Office, Oyama Junior High School, and Sasara-ya Tateyama Store is recommended. Please note that there is no parking at the venue. The opening performance begins at 15:00, stage performances start at 17:00, and a fun raffle is planned after the fireworks.
