About this event

The "Suzaka Future Exploration Festival" is held as part of a project aimed at revitalizing Suzaka City's central urban area and creating vitality, amidst stagnating commercial activity in the town center due to population decline, declining birthrates, aging population, and competition with large suburban stores in neighboring cities, along with concerns over further hollowing out following the opening of AEON Mall Suzaka. Based at Suzaka Kura no Machi Square, the event aims to bring vibrancy to the area by serving as a new hub for local residents from children to seniors to casually gather, deepen friendships, and repurpose the space. In addition, to sustainably and continuously generate vitality utilizing city facilities and vacant lots, the project aims to involve local shops and organizations while fostering human resources (including groups) capable of taking charge of downtown revitalization and community vibrancy.
