Shinshu Takayama Food Festival 2026

About this event

Organized to promote Takayama Village's local specialties and test-market products by local businesses, the "Shinshu Takayama Food Festival" will be held at the YOU-Yu Land Lawn Plaza. Food stalls and kitchen cars active in the Nagano region will gather, offering tastes unique to Takayama Village. In addition, stage performances including dance and brass band music are scheduled. In this commemorative year celebrating the 70th anniversary of the village's municipal status, the animal brass ensemble "Zoorasian Brass" is scheduled to perform on stage. Formed in 2000 with the aim of acting as a picture book in the classical music world, "Zoorasian Brass" is composed entirely of rare animals, led by the okapi conductor. They perform over 150 concerts annually across Japan and internationally, and have released numerous CDs. This time, seven members in a brass and percussion ensemble will appear to present a colorful musical world performed by animals. Along with food stalls, kitchen cars, and general merchandise sales, the event features an extensive stage program, including an opening performance, the Takayama Junior High School Brass Band, Takayama Kids & Jr. Dance, a Zoorasian Brass concert, Takayama Takao Tourism PR, Dance School Rhythm, and the Sunnyside Gospel Club Nagano. Parking and shuttle bus information is also available.
