From "Town of Storehouses" to "Town of Storehouses and Culture." The Suzaka Art Festival HIBIKI marks its 2nd edition. In an era where diversity is sought, the festival cherishes the opportunity to experience genuine authenticity. Melodies echoing through traditional storehouse streetscapes will weave the future. This year, the venues have increased from last year, featuring 24 programs across 14 venues. Over two days on Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1, visitors can enjoy performances by top-class artists right before their eyes in historic traditional buildings. As a pre-event, a screening of "Fukin: Footsteps of a Reed Organ Restorer," a documentary film depicting the journey of Mr. Wakui, a historic reed organ restorer residing in Suzaka City, will also be held. Organist Shoji Nakamura, who appears in the film, is also invited to the art festival. A painting contest will also be held on the theme of scenes and images inspired by the "Town of Storehouses and Culture."
