Running Bike Race Alps Azumino Cup

The 'Running Bike Race Alps Azumino Cup' will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the kids course inside the MTB Park of the Alps Azumino National Government Park (Omachi/Matsukawa Area), spanning Omachi City and Matsukawa Village in Nagano Prefecture. It is a race event for running bikes (pedal-less balance bikes) targeted at preschoolers aged 2 to 6. Racing through an undulating off-road course of about 130 meters, the sense of accomplishment upon reaching the finish line nurtures children's interest in sports. Between races, Ryoga Tsuchiya, a former national champion from Nagano Prefecture who achieved six consecutive victories in the All Japan Championships, will perform a powerful bicycle trial show. Beyond the event, the park boasts abundant facilities for families to enjoy all day, such as the 'Sky Corridor', 'House of the Great Grassland', and the 'Mountain Bike Park' where full-scale off-road riding can be experienced. With a program designed for both first-time participants and experienced riders to enjoy together, the warm atmosphere filled with smiles and applause throughout the venue is also a major attraction.
