11th OMACHI Rogaining

About this event

The "11th OMACHI Rogaining," held in Omachi City, Nagano Prefecture, is a navigation sport where participants can enjoy and experience rich nature and history surrounded by the 3,000-meter-class Northern Alps and the "Nishina Three Lakes." The competition duration is 3 hours, during which participants navigate to checkpoints on a map either by walking or running. Maps are provided in B4 size, 1:20,000 scale, with a contour interval of 10 meters. Proof of checkpoint visits is done via digital photography. Beginners are also welcome, with categories available for family teams, mixed teams, women's teams, men's teams, women's solo, and men's solo. On the day of the event, registration begins at 9:30 AM at the Friend Plaza Omachi Gallery, followed by the start at 11:00 AM and finish at 14:00 (2:00 PM). Participants can enjoy an exhilarating rogaining experience in Shinano Omachi, surrounded by the snow-capped Northern Alps and beautiful autumn satoyama hills.
