"Silver Week Event! Chikuma River Canoe Touring" held in Iiyama City, Nagano Prefecture is an experiential event where you paddle down the magnificent flow of the Chikuma River by canoe. On the roughly 9 km course, you can enjoy varied river paddling, from surrendering yourself to gentle currents to overcoming thrilling rapids. While gazing at the shifting rural satoyama landscape, a snack time using local fruit is also prepared on a sandbar along the way. At the goal point, Iiyama Yutaki Onsen, a hot spring bath to soothe your travel fatigue and a lunch using the branded pork "Miyuki Pork" await you. Open to experienced canoeists of elementary school age and older, it is an event where you can spend an active time while fully enjoying nature.
