13th Tachiakane Soba Flower and Fruit Festival

The "13th Tachiakane Soba Flower and Fruit Festival," held at Furusato Park Aoki in Aoki Village, Nagano Prefecture, is an event to enjoy autumn flavors and beautiful scenery. At the venue, handmade soba noodles made with the local specialty Tachiakane soba will be served (limited to 250 servings, 500 yen), starting at 10:30 AM. Meal tickets will go on sale at 10:15 AM. Additionally, a Tachiakane soba noodle-making workshop (reservation required, 2,000 yen for 4 servings) will be conducted, instructed by teachers from the Saitama Soba Making Club. Those wishing to participate must make a phone reservation with the Aoki Village Office (0268-49-0111) by 12:00 PM on Friday, September 11. A dynamic performance of Gimin Taiko drums by the Gimin Taiko Preservation Society can also be enjoyed starting at 10:00 AM. Soba fields spread around the venue, and walking maps are also prepared. A photo contest will also be held, with an application period from Tuesday, September 1 to Friday, October 2. As a special event, the character "Aokinoko-chan" will also make an appearance. During the event period, a sales corner by the processing union featuring oyaki, bread, and other items will also be set up.
