At Lake Momiji (Momijiko) in Minowa Town, approximately 10,000 maple trees adorn the lakeside, creating a moving landscape where fiery autumn leaves are reflected on the blue water surface in late autumn. Surrounding parks, plazas, and campgrounds have been developed, making it a popular destination. Cherished as Minowa Dam, Lake Momiji protects the lives of local residents and nature through flood control, maintenance of normal water flow, and water supply. At the event plaza, surrounded by idyllic mountain village scenery, the "Autumn Lake Momiji Festival" is held during the foliage season, expanding circles of lively activity. This festival is also planned as a walking event where families and friends can enjoy Lake Momiji surrounded by vibrant autumn leaves, offering an opportunity to stroll around the area with a professional trainer invited as an instructor while taking in the beautiful scenery and nature. During the foliage season, the entire Lake Momiji area becomes the venue for the Autumn Foliage Festival held from October 31 to November 15, and stall vendor applications will be open for the event plaza.
