The 41st Oshiba Highlands Festival

A summer tradition of Minamiminowa Village, the '41st Oshiba Highlands Festival' will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026. In case of rain, it will be postponed to the following day, Sunday, August 23. The opening ceremony begins at 9:30 AM, various events start at 10:00 AM, and at night, approximately 1,000 fireworks will be launched to illuminate the night sky of Oshiba Highlands. At the venue, a wide variety of events to enjoy throughout the day are planned, including sales of local agricultural produce, a tractor ride experience, a flea market, a local flavors corner, food/vendor stalls, a disaster prevention corner, a new sports experience, a festival parade, folk dance, a recycled book market, a parent-child woodworking square, the Bamboo Light Project, street performances, festival game stalls, and a bouncy air trampoline. In particular, the stage will enliven the venue with various performances such as music, impressions, and dance. Additionally, the fireworks display will be held from 7:30 PM, and the gorgeous sight lighting up the summer night sky is a must-see. Using the shuttle bus is recommended for accessing the venue. Please also check the visitor guidelines, such as heatstroke prevention and taking trash home, to enjoy the festival safely.
