Mount Jinbagata Smoke Signal Raising

In Nakagawa Village, Nagano Prefecture, the "Mount Jinbagata Smoke Signal Raising" will be held as part of the 19th Takeda Shingen Smoke Signal Relay. Celebrating its 16th year, this event is co-hosted by the Nakagawa Village Community Center and the Mount Jinbagata Smoke Signal Raising Executive Committee. During the opening event, 4th-grade students from Nakagawa Higashi Elementary School and Nakagawa Nishi Elementary School will help liven up the signal raising. Ignition is scheduled for around 9:20 AM, so even those who cannot come to the venue can spot the smoke signal by looking toward the summit of Mount Jinbagata around this time. Because parking at the summit of Mount Jinbagata is limited, visitors wishing to watch are requested to carpool as much as possible. Participating children will also have free time to play on the summit with their favorite toys brought from home. Admission is free. Please note that part of the Jinbagata Line Wide-Area Trunk Forest Road is closed due to a landslide, and depending on future construction progress, details such as the venue and departure times may change, so please check for the latest information.
