📅 Sat, Oct 3, 2026 - Sun, Oct 4, 2026
About this event
Yoro Town, Gifu Prefecture, is an important production area for the meat industry, including Hida Beef, and is a vibrant town where butcher shops, restaurants, and processing businesses gather. In particular, the "Yakiniku Kaido" (Barbecue Highway) along Prefectural Route 56 serves as a symbol of Yoro Town's proud food culture. At this "Yoro Food Culture Festival," you can fully enjoy Gifu's representative brand beef "Hida Beef" and the rich gourmet charms unique to Yoro Town. Each shop's specialty meat dishes will make an appearance, such as Hida Beef short rib bowls (kalbi-don), Hida Beef dote bowls, stewed beef sinew, grilled offal on an iron plate (horumon teppanyaki), skewered cutlets (kushikatsu), and franks with Hida Beef. Fresh Hida Beef cuts and horse meat sashimi (basashi) will also be on sale. In addition to meat, there is a rich lineup of sweets such as handmade gelato, apple pie, and caneles, as well as drinks certified under the Yoro Town Special Brand. As a project to enjoy the event even more, a stamp rally and garapon lottery using the Yoro Pay app will be held. If you shop at stores in the venue, scan the 2D code, and collect 3 stamps, you will receive a lottery ticket to win luxurious prizes. 1st prize is 10,000 yen worth of Yoro Pay, 2nd prize is 5,000 yen worth, 3rd prize is 2,000 yen worth, and 4th prize includes admission tickets to the Site of Reversible Destiny (Yoro Tenmei Hantenchi). Furthermore, a campaign to receive 500 yen worth of Yoro Pay by following designated social media accounts and answering a questionnaire will also be held. It is an event where you can savor delicious gourmet food and fun programs while feeling the wonders of the local meat industry with all five senses.
