Held in Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture, "Nakatsugawa WILD WOOD 2026" is a rock festival taking place over two days on Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, 2026, on a specially erected stage inside Nakatsugawa Park. Set in Nakatsugawa—widely known as the birthplace of Japanese outdoor festivals—the event enters its second year as a gathering for lovers of nature and music. Its inaugural edition drew approximately 30,000 attendees over two days with great excitement. The event features passionate live performances by artists leading the Japanese music scene. The first wave lineup includes UNICORN, HEY-SMITH, Hump Back, JUN SKY WALKER(S), Raisan, and FOMARE, with additional artist announcements expected. Surrounding the special stage in Nakatsugawa Park with lush nature, the venue features fully equipped campsites, allowing attendees to arrive the day before and fully immerse themselves in the festival. Held during the first two days of the Silver Week holidays, it is an unmissable event for music fans. Tickets start from 19,800 yen (tax included) for a 2-day pass, with early bird advance sales available. Up to two children of elementary school age or younger can enter free per accompanying guardian. Access to the venue is convenient, taking about 1.5 hours by train from Nagoya Station, or roughly 10 minutes by car from the Chuo Expressway Nakatsugawa IC. As mid-September in Nakatsugawa experiences large temperature differences between day and night, preparing cold-weather gear, rain gear, and insect repellent is recommended.
