"Retro Night TARUI 2026", held in Tarui Town, Gifu Prefecture, is a nostalgic and lively festival themed around Showa retro culture. It will be held at Waiwai Plaza Tarui on August 29 (Sat), 2026. Celebrating its 3rd edition this year, the event features Bon Odori dancing, snack tossing, around 13 food truck stalls, and classic festival games such as target shooting and ring toss. It is an intergenerational event that feels fresh to children and nostalgic to adults. A major highlight is the "Tarui Retro Gacha", which was extremely popular last year and features cute keychains modeled after signs of local shops in Tarui Town, selling out immediately after sales began. In addition, the "Showa Gal Makeup Experience", which drew long lines last year, is also scheduled, making it a nostalgic trip for older generations and a fresh, fun experience for younger generations.
