Gon's Autumn Festival 2026

About this event

Along the banks of the Yakachi River, the setting of the masterpiece "Gon, the Little Fox" (Gon-gitsune) by children's author Nankichi Niimi from Handa City, 3 million red spider lilies planted by local residents burst into full bloom to recreate the world of his story. Around the Yakachi River embankment blanketed in vibrant red spider lilies, various local hospitality events will be held to delight visitors. During the event period, a free shuttle bus called "Handa no Aki Meguri" (Handa Autumn Tour) will conveniently connect Ai Plaza Handa, the Niimi Nankichi Memorial Museum, the Handa Red Brick Building, and the Handa Canal / Kura no Machi storehouse district. In addition, the "Gon Kuru" Handa Central Line (Nankichi Bus) is available from Meitetsu Chita-Handa Station.
