About this event
The "10th Matsusaka Shongai Festival," organized by the Matsusaka Shongai Ondo and Dance Preservation Society—a designated Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Matsusaka City—will be held at Suzunomori Park on Saturday, October 24, 2026. It will run from 11:00 to 15:30 with free admission. Opening performances are scheduled to include Suzunomori Taiko, the Nishi Junior High School Brass Band, the Matsusaka High School Dance Club, and the Matsusaka Technical High School Dance Club. In addition, the Matsusaka Suzu Dance, Matsusaka Shongai Soran, and the Shongai Grand Dance in which all participants dance together will be held. A lottery ticket will be given to those who join the grand dance, and a grand raffle will be held offering Matsusaka specialties such as Matsusaka beef and new-crop rice, making it a festival packed with highlights. The event will be canceled in case of rain.
