About this event

At the illuminated daimyo garden 'Genkyuen,' you can enjoy a special evening admiring the famous autumn moon. The view of Hikone Castle keep and the moon as seen from Genkyuen at night boasts extraordinary beauty. The strolling pond garden, embodying the essence of Edo culture, creates a magical atmosphere during long autumn nights. During the event, tea ceremonies, traditional Japanese music performances, and ikebana flower arrangement displays are held, allowing visitors to fully savor the elegant atmosphere. Hikonyan will also make an appearance to liven up the venue. The tea ceremony held at the Rakurakuen Goshoin, a historical building, offers a special experience inside a space normally closed to the public. Spending quiet time admiring the moon wrapped in the melodies of music and the presence of flowers will make for a cherished autumn memory.
