World-Touring Japanese Taiko Drumming Troupe "Yamato" Japan Tour 2026 in Kyoto Based in Asuka Village, Nara Prefecture, "Yamato" is a world-touring Japanese taiko drumming troupe. Since forming in 1993, they have given over 4,800 performances across 55 countries, captivating a cumulative total of more than 10 million people. A dynamic stage woven by taiko drums of various sizes, including a giant drum over 2 meters in diameter and weighing over 500 kilograms. The overwhelming rhythms and delicate expressions born from well-trained bodies are truly "music of the body." Fierceness, poignancy, tranquility, and dynamism—a stage by Yamato is not just an experience of "hearing" sound, but "feeling it with the entire body."
