Sakai Osaka Traditional Culture Experience Festa

About this event

This is a free Japanese cultural hands-on event aimed at elementary and junior high school students as well as parents and children to enjoy learning about traditional Japanese culture. In the scent sachet-making workshop, you can blend your favorite fragrances to create your own personalized sachet. In the tea ceremony experience, you will enjoy learning the etiquette of being a guest. In the kimono dressing experience, you can enjoy the delight of wearing a kimono. In the Japanese confectionery workshop, try your hand at creating the trending "an-flower" sweets, shaping sweet bean paste into a unique, one-of-a-kind confection. Selected as an Agency for Cultural Affairs project, all necessary materials are provided, so you can join empty-handed. Children participating alone are also welcome. The event is held in two sessions: morning and afternoon.
