The 41st Summer Festa in Makino 2026, a major summer festival in the Makino area, will be held over two days on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13, 2026. The venue is the shopping street stretching from Makino Station to the Top World Makino supermarket, which will be closed to vehicle traffic during the festival and is expected to bustle with many visitors. On the main stage, a diverse program including Japanese taiko drumming, Eisa dance, kids dance, cheerleading, street performance, and live band performances will take place, offering entertainment for all generations, centered around local groups. Performer "YUPON" featuring fire act juggling will appear on the 12th, and the jazz/fusion band "Spice Blend" featuring professional saxophonist Yuki Kishida, who is originally from Makino, is scheduled to perform on the 13th. The night market with about 110 booths and roughly 70 stalls lining the public road is also a major attraction, offering a wide range of food options from classic festival favorites like yakisoba and shaved ice to pizza and ramen, as well as a full lineup of game corners such as target shooting and lotteries, providing enjoyment for both children and adults. Filled with the charms of the local community, this annual event envelops the town of Makino in excitement and smiles over two days.
