Kumatori Danjiri Festival (Danjiri Pulling Experience & Special Viewing Seats)

About this event

Organized by the Kumatori Nigiwai Tourism Association, the Kumatori Danjiri Festival features 11 danjiri floats. On October 10, the Miyairi (shrine entry) is held at Omori Shrine, followed by a ceremony and parade in front of Kumatori Station on the next day, October 11. As a festival highlight, a 'Danjiri Pulling Experience' is offered where participants join forces to pull the 11 magnificent danjiri floats. Furthermore, 'Special Viewing Seats' are set up following the ceremony to watch the danjiri dash past at close range. Through this special experience, visitors can feel the traditional festival of Kumatori Town firsthand.
