About this event
This is a once-a-year event where you can stroll through Gosemachi, which retains its good old atmosphere. Historic machiya townhouses that have flourished since the Edo period are specially opened to the public, welcoming visitors with the full hospitality of Gosemachi through time-slip journeys where nostalgic townscapes are brought back to life on smartphone screens, machiya tea houses, stamp rallies, and more. The recreation of the lantern dance from the Kamotsuba Shrine Susuki Lantern Dedication Event is also one of the highlights.
