About this event
This memorial service offers gratitude for the four debts of gratitude: to heaven and earth, to one's country, to one's teachers, and to one's parents. Praying for ancestral memorial and family safety, the entire mountain is covered with ten thousand lights. Held every year on Autumn Equinox Day, the grounds of Hozan-ji Temple are enveloped in magical illumination. This event provides a valuable opportunity for local residents to gather, remember their ancestors, and express their everyday gratitude. Visitors can enjoy a festival of lights held in a quiet and solemn atmosphere on a long autumn evening.
