Honnorian Lanterns: 4,000 Gentle Lights Illuminating the Park

About this event

'Honnorian-don' is an annual summer event held at Uda Animal Park, celebrating its 16th edition this year. Around 4,000 lanterns, including those painted by children in Uda City and those shaped like animals, gently illuminate the park grounds, creating a magical atmosphere known as the 'Zoo of Light.' During the event period, light-ups will also take place in the Matsuyama Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, and various fun concurrent events will be held, such as the 'Uda Animal Park & Uda Matsuyama Kaikan Stamp Rally!'. It is an event fusing light, animals, and local charm, perfect for making end-of-summer memories.
