About this event

This is an event where participants walk through the town while connecting with history, guided by Tawaramoto Town volunteer tourist guides. Starting at Tawaramoto Station Square and finishing at Kuroda Station, participants will follow a course of approximately 3.1 km. The itinerary includes visits to Miyako - Kuroda (Taishi-michi) and Horaku-ji Temple. The event will proceed in light rain, but will be cancelled if a weather warning is issued for "Tawaramoto Town" as of 7:00 AM. Please refrain from participating if you are not feeling well. Eligibility is limited to Tawaramoto Town residents aged 65 or older (including those turning 65 during fiscal year 2026). For those not participating in the Health and Happiness Points Project, this may also be a good opportunity to consider joining. Applications are accepted from August 3 to October 15, with a capacity of the first 40 applicants on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications can be made by phone or at Counter No. 9. Items to bring include drinks (water, tea, etc.) and towels. Please join wearing comfortable clothes and shoes suitable for walking.
