Focusing on the traditional culture of "Shishimai" (lion dance) of which Miki Town in Kagawa Prefecture is proud, "Shishi no Sato Miki Mandegan." will be held, showcasing the "goods, people, and experiences" of Miki Town. This event is a grand Shishimai festival organized through the joint efforts of all Miki Town residents; "mandegan" means "everything" in the Kagawa dialect. It embodies the residents' wish to revitalize the town by bringing together Miki Town's charms—its history, culture, nature, food, manufacturing, and people. The sound of drums and gongs resonates throughout the town, making it an autumn tradition that brings vibrancy to the community. While each district dedicates its own distinct style of lion dance, this event brings together lions from across the town that usually perform separately, transcending shrine boundaries for just one day. The venue encompasses the Bell City shopping center parking lot, the Miki Town Cultural Exchange Plaza, and the surrounding area, where dynamic performances featuring one of Japan's largest giant lions, preserved by the Dai Shishi Preservation Society, are truly breathtaking. In addition to the lion dances, a variety of events enjoyable for people of all ages are organized, including the Miki Ondo dance, the "Bountiful Harvest & Miki Brand Zone" featuring local specialties and agricultural produce, and the "School Zone" planned and operated by high school and university students.
