About this event
In mid-autumn October, mikoshi portable shrines parade all across Hakata-cho in Imabari City. Across the island, banners flutter in the wind, and vigorous chanting echoes as portable shrines are carried, creating great lively excitement. Lion dancers also parade along with the mikoshi, adding to the festival spirit. A festival is always enjoyable no matter one's age.
