Public Opening of National Important Cultural Property Yasuoka Residence (September 2026)

The Yasuoka Residence, a National Important Cultural Property, will be open to the public in September 2026 (Reiwa 8). This opportunity allows visitors to view the precious appearance of this historic building up close. The opening will take place over 2 days on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27, 2026, split into two sessions per day: morning and afternoon. Gathering times for each session are 9:20 AM for the morning session and 1:20 PM for the afternoon session. The meeting place will be the Konan City Cultural Properties Center (1553-1 Kagamicho Yamakita, Konan City). Participation is free, with a capacity of approximately 10 people per session. Please note that if there are too many applicants, a lottery will be held. Children of elementary school age and younger must be accompanied by a guardian. The event may be cancelled in case of rain; in the event of cancellation, applicants will be notified after the afternoon of Thursday, September 24. Applications are accepted by phone only, and the application period is from Tuesday, September 8 to Thursday, September 24. Reception hours are 8:30 AM to 5:15 PM on weekdays, but only from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM on the final day, Thursday, September 24.
