54th Kurume City Jojima Furusato Yume Festival

About this event

A festival packed with highlights, including a parade where two giant lions approximately 30 meters in total length march through the town center, 'Giant Lion Race' competing in speed, and 'Ao Mikoshi Relay' where costumed runners carry sake barrels filled with Ao (freshwater). Numerous stalls such as local specialty shops and food trucks will also liven up the venue. On the first day, in addition to the operation of specialty shops and food corners, the opening ceremony, stage performances, fun events, and the Giant Lion Awakening Ceremony will be held. On the second day, in addition to the operation of specialty shops and food corners, the Giant Lion Parade, Giant Lion Race, Yume Festival Grand Karaoke Contest, Ao Mikoshi Relay, stage performances, and the Giant Lion Sleep Ceremony are scheduled.
