About this event
Held to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the sister-state relationship between Fukuoka Prefecture and the State of Hawaii, the Aloha Monarch Hawaii Festival 2026 ~Let Peace Endure Forever~ is an event filled with prayers for peace, set at the Daniel Inouye Museum in Joyo Town, Yame City. Amidst chaotic world affairs, stages and booths filled with a Hawaiian atmosphere will be bustling under the theme of wishing for everlasting peace. While enjoying the scenic nature of Yame City, visitors can enjoy hula stages, on-site exhibits, workshops, Hawaiian shops, and more. The venue, Daniel Inouye Museum, is a facility named after Japanese-American Senator Daniel K. Inouye elected from Hawaii, and tracing his footsteps deepens understanding of the event's theme. This event is not just a Hawaiian-style festival, but a valuable opportunity to feel interpersonal connections while sharing the 45-year history and culture of exchange between Fukuoka and Hawaii.
