Held to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the sister-state/prefecture relationship between Fukuoka Prefecture and the State of Hawaii, the "Hawaiian Quilt Exhibition" showcases hand-sewn Hawaiian quilts conveying warmth inspired by Hawaii's beautiful nature. In particular, the "Bonds of Friendship: Plum Blossom Quilt," created to mark the 45th anniversary of the sister relationship, is a must-see. On this occasion, you can view up close the brilliance and intricate craftsmanship of Hawaiian quilts. The venue is the Information Machiya on the 1st floor of Yame City Hall.
