About this event

The "Miyama Autumn Full Enjoyment Olle," held in Miyama City, Fukuoka Prefecture, is an event that follows the Miyama/Kiyomizuyama Course of the "Kyushu Olle," a popular trekking course originating from Jeju Island, South Korea. Leading from Zoyama Historical Forest Park via Kiyomizu-dera Temple toward Roadside Station Miyama, this course offers beautiful scenery woven from history and nature. Walkers pass through mysterious bamboo groves and traverse mountains brightly adorned with cherry blossoms in spring and autumn foliage in fall. From the summit observation deck, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Chikugo Plain and encounter rich historical culture such as the Kogogoishi stones, Kiyomizu-dera Honbo Garden (said to have been created by Sesshu), the 500 Rakan statues, and the three-story pagoda of Kiyomizu-dera Temple. At the goal point, Roadside Station Miyama, you can taste Miyama's prized agricultural produce and local specialties. This event also prepares lunch using local ingredients, hospitality, and commemorative participation gifts, offering a full day to savor the charms of Miyama while feeling the arrival of autumn.
